A dynamic massage for active people. It brings a feeling of relaxation and lightness to the body, before or after training. It is a wellness massage with no medical or therapeutic purpose.
What is this massage?
The sports massage is more energetic than the classic one. It combines deeper kneading, rhythmic strokes and work on the muscle groups your sport uses most. I adapt the rhythm and pressure to your activity and to how you feel on the day.
Before exercise, the massage is usually livelier, so the body feels energised. After exercise, it is calmer and slower, to help you relax.
I usually focus on the back, the backs of the legs and the arms, the areas that work hardest in most sports. If you would like me to work on other areas, such as the fronts of the legs, the chest or the stomach, simply tell me. We agree on this beforehand, respecting your wishes and your personal boundaries.
I don't specialise in any one sport: a runner, a swimmer and a regular at the gym all get the same attentive massage, just with the focus on different areas. If you are ready for it, I add gentle stretching, always within your comfort zone and without rushing.
How a session goes
- A few words before we start. We talk about your sport, your training over the next few days, the intensity you would like and any possible contraindications.
- The massage. You lie on the massage table under a sheet, and only the area I am working on is uncovered. I use Styx oil, soft music plays in the background, and the table can be heated if needed.
- After the session. A few minutes to come back to yourself without rushing, with tea or coffee and a little something sweet.
Who is it for?
- those who run, swim, cycle, go to the gym or do yoga;
- those preparing for a competition or who have just finished one;
- those who enjoy a firm, deeper massage;
- everyone whose work is physically demanding.
Durations and prices
The price depends on the length of the session, not on the type of massage.
- Massage
- Face Massage
- Body wrap + face massage
- Body wrap + massage
For a sports massage I recommend a session of at least 1.5 hours, so there is time for all the areas you use.
When to postpone your session
The massage is not given in case of fever, acute inflammation, skin conditions in the area to be massaged, or straight after a recent injury. If you have an injury or health problems, please ask your doctor first.
Before each session I always ask about injuries, operations or anything else I should know, so that I know where to be especially careful. If you are pregnant, please be sure to mention it when booking, and I will adapt the session. And if the massage falls on those days of your cycle when the body tends to be more sensitive, we can choose a softer pressure or move the session to a time that suits you better.
Frequently asked questions
Is it better to come before or after training?
Either works. Just one thing: on the day of your massage, try not to plan training or other strenuous activity, and let your body rest.
Will it hurt?
A sports massage is deeper than a classic one, but it should not be painful. We agree on the pressure beforehand, and you can ask me to change it at any time during the session.
What should I wear?
You can keep your own underwear on or wear disposable underwear that I provide. During the massage, the rest of your body is covered with a sheet.
How is it different from the classic massage?
The classic massage is calmer and designed for relaxation. The sports massage is more dynamic, with a rhythm and pressure adapted to your physical activity.
